Sundance F-500 is Famous

Sundance F-500 was inducted into the ApHC Hall of Fame on November 5, 1988. The December newsletter reported on the induction ceremony, which several members of the Board attended. A plaque was given to Sundance 500 International and Sundance's hide was on display during the ceremony.

In January 1989, Jane reported that new by-laws had been adopted and were available to the membership. Unfortunately, there were other problems internally and Sundance 500 International was experiencing some changes. Jane reported that Peggy Lopez was resigning as Secretary but
would continue as Treasurer and Newsletter Editor. Jane thanked Ralph and Joyce Cannon for donating back issues of the Sundance newsletter (1973-1984). The focus of newsletter articles has evolved towards riding and horse health related issues during this time.

The newsletters indicated that there was some conflict among the Board of Directors. Peggy Lopez resigned and issued a letter to the president and copied the membership, stating she resigned from all positions in February 1989. In March, Jane reported that Mary Farmer had been appointed as Secretary and acting Treasurer of Sundance 500 and that Jane would be acting as Editor. The 164 Charter members of Sundance 500 International were listed in this newsletter issue along with ApHC news.
