Wayne R. Wyant, 87, of 351 Longview Road, Fairmount City, Redbank Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, in Clarion Hospital. Born Oct. 10, 1914, in Porter Township, Clarion County, he was a son of Frank and Sarah Humphrey Wyant. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Wyant was the owner of Wayne R. Wyant Farm Equipment in New Bethlehem Pa. He also was the owner of Waylo Acres of Hawthorn. He enjoyed raising horses and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the American Paint Horse Association and the Appaloosa Horse Club. He also was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Mr. Wyant was a member of the Hawthorn Presbyterian Church. He also held membership in the Reynoldsville Elks Lodge and the American Legion Post No. 354 of New Bethlehem. Mr. Wyant was a member of the Free & Accepted Masonic Lodge, No. 522 of New Bethlehem. He was a former member of the Hawthorn Lions Club. Mr. Wyant enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography and being with friends and family.

He was married Aug. 18, 1959, to Lois Martin, who survives. Also surviving are four sons and their wives, Mark and Wendy Wyant and Scott and Mindy Wyant, all of Fairmount City, Alan and Tonda Wyant of Spartanburg, S.C., and Richard and Suzy Wyant of Tipp City, Ohio; one daughter and her husband, Kelly and Todd Todorov of Brookville; and seven grandchildren, Jason Wyant, Tricia Wyant, Brock Wyant, Sarah Margaret Wyant, Emily Wyant, Matthew Wyant and Lauren Wyant. He also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Tom (Winifred) Weaver of Sun City, Fla. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wyant was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren "Clair" Wyant and Paul Wyant; and a sister, Gertrude Silvis.
